Course Introduction
About the Course
The OSHA Focus Four Injury Prevention training is a 4-Hour block consisting of 4 segments for each of the four major hazards in the construction industry as determined by OSHA: Falls; Caught-In or Between; Struck-By; and Electrocution. Considering that Falls account for more than a third of all fatalities in the construction industry, Falls will be covered over a 90-minute period while each of the other three hazards will be covered over a 50-minute period.
The lessons have terminal and enabling objectives or expected student outcomes which will be measured at the end of every segment by testing participants’ knowledge of the subject-matter.
Course Objective
Given current OSHA and industry information regarding construction worksite illnesses, injuries, and/or fatalities, participants will be able to recognize fall, caught-in or -between, struck-by, and electrocution hazards in construction.
Enabling Objectives:
Identify common Fall, Caught-in or Between, Struck-By, and Electrocution hazards.
Describe types of Fall, Caught-in or Between, Struck-By, and Electrocution hazards
Protect themselves from fall, Caught-in or Between, Struck-By, and Electrocution hazards.
Recognize employer requirements to protect workers from the various hazards.

All on-site trades and professionals in the construction and related industries.
